Port St. Lucie in the Treasure Coast uses the motto, “A city for all ages,” because of its wide appeal to a variety of current and prospective residents. Population and Location

Port St. Lucie had a population of 164,603 in 2010 and has grown to an estimate of 195,248 in 2018. The city is located 114 miles northwest of Miami, 125 miles southeast of Orlando, and about 50 miles north of West Palm Beach. According to the Census Bureau in 2018, Port St. Lucie Florida's 8th largest city and South Florida's third-largest city.

First Data Field

First Data Field is the spring training stadium for the New York Mets and for the St. Lucie Mets when they're at home. The stadium has great seats throughout, free parking, and reasonable admission plus good promotions and games between innings. Be on the lookout for their dollar hot dogs and dollar beer nights!

Treasure Coast Model Railroad Club

About 2,000 square feet of model trains are in a converted fire hall, and engineers enthusiastically show them to you, explain what they have, and allow children to drive and control models. Train set-ups and miniature backdrops have been recreated by model railroad enthusiasts.

You can also see old-time signs that advertised products and listen to club members who have lots of stories and take the time to spend with visitors.

Admission is free. but donations are gratefully accepted. This attraction is only open on Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.

Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens

Port St. Lucie Botanical Gardens is one of the top-rated botanical gardens within 100 miles.This beautiful, formal garden includes a Butterfly Garden and a Fairy Garden, and is also a venue for special events. Admissions are free, and so are lessons in plants, their propagation, and required care. On weekends, they sell plants including stunning orchids and native plants.
