FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT ONLY AND FIRST RESPONDERS
As law enforcement and first response professionals, you are very likely to come in contact with children and adults who have ASD. Everyone in attendance will come away with a good, practical understanding of effective approaches when interacting with individuals who have ASD. The training will offer a thorough review of current trends, special tactics, and tips. This session will feature video illustrations of autism related dispatches and scenarios and will describe special tactics designed to enhance communications and manage sensory influences that can cause behavioral outbursts. Training to enhance critical scene management, decision-making and responder safety skills are the keys to finding success when interacting with a person with ASD.
Proof of attendance will be provided upon completion of the training evaluation on the day of the event.
