Rooted in the true Geographical south of Miami, Jay Valor and his band surpass genre definitions. Elements of Country, Rock n’ Roll, Southern Rock, Reggae, Fusion, Swing and Ballad Rock are yet a few definable aspects of Jay Valor and his amazing group of musical co-conspirators.
From bars to bayous and stages of all sizes, whether it’s a cover song or original tune, Valor and his band deliver sizzling, high-energy performances engaging audiences of all ages and musical tastes. The band members are seasoned musicians in their own right and their chemistry and camaraderie is evident every time they get together to create music. Valor has given South Florida music a run for its money providing quality songs filled with passion, immense attention to detail and melodic verses, simplistic; yet memorable lyrics about everyday life, and tasteful instrumentation that tie it all together. And after 4 years of persistence and commitment, in August of 2016, Valor released his first EP titled Born To Run. Featuring his single “Make Up Your Mind,” Valor’s lyrics bring an emotional narrative that is far removed from flatbeds and beer. A second album is in the making and due out late spring of 2019; a compilation of deeply rooted, richly textured emotional lyrics and instrumentals is what fans can expect with the next release.
