Hunters will be given a list of items, some to find, some to snap a photo. All funding raised from Hunt for Hope will underwrite IBC research. How do I join in the fun? Sign up! Our local chairwoman Dr. Holly Hamilton! What is IBC? Inflammatory breast cancer is a rare but most fatal form of breast cancer. While it accounts for 2-6% of all breast cancers, the 5-year overall survival rate is 40%, as compared to near 90% for all types of breast cancer combined. Since IBC, inflammatory breast cancer, can not be detected until a stage III, so we need more research for this more aggressive breast cancer. I lost a dear friend to this disease. She was only 32 at her diagnosis. Her wish was for more research so no one else would be lost to this brutal form of cancer. It is not as rare as most think! My assistant also lost her mom to this. Because of this we will be honoring these two lovely women and any other that you would like to add. Let us know!
